Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra is expected to visit Bangladesh next week for discussions, amid tensions between Dhaka-Delhi relations, according to reports.

If this visit is confirmed, this would be the first trip to Dhaka by a senior Indian official since the interim government led by Dr. Muhammad Yunus assumed office.

Indian newspaper Hindustan Times reported on Wednesday (Dec 4) that Foreign Secretary Kwatra is likely to arrive in Dhaka on December 10 for a secretary-level meeting between the two countries. 

However, neither Dhaka nor Delhi has made any formal announcement regarding the trip so far.
