Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has directed the Bangladesh Army to remain ever-ready to safeguard the country's sovereignty.
He made this remark on Sunday (January 5), during a speech at an infantry brigade group exercise organized by the 55th Infantry Division in Rajbari Military Training Area.
He said as the Bangladesh Army is a symbol of national pride and trust, the army needs modern and relevant training to ensure their readiness for any conflict.
He reiterated the motto "Training is the best welfare" and encouraged soldiers to enhance their skills to uphold the nation's sovereignty.
The chief adviser praised the army's strategy and skills and urged them to stay equipped with realistic and up-to-date training methods.
Upon his arrival, Professor Yunus was received by Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, and Commander of the 55 Infantry Division and Jessore Area Major General JM Imdadul Islam.
