MEHERPUR: A live bomb and warning chit under the name of an outlawed left political outfit were left inside Kumaridanga police camp under Gangni upazila in the district sometime on Saturday night.

The chit, carrying a note of warning from the banned extremist outfit ‘Lal Pataka’, asked the police administration to ‘watch out’, police sources said.

Kumaridanga police camp in charge SI Ershad told banglanews24.com.bd, “The sentries noticed the bomb while on duty on Sunday morning.”

Police guess that the extremist cadres may have left the bomb with the chit in the darkness of night.

Commoners in the area panicked hearing about the episode of slipping bomb and epistle into the police outpost in the violence-infested frontier district.
