Four killed in Sirajganj road mishap

SIRAJGANJ: Head-on collision between a bus and an auto-rickshaw left four people killed at Choria of Solonga thana here Sunday.

Three of the deceased were from a family and the other was the driver of the auto-rickshaw, police said.

The deceased are Md Sobhan Ali, 65, his son-in-law Monir Hossain, 35 and grand daughter Amena Khatun, 27, hailed from Natore while auto driver Ashraf, 32 from Choria village.

The accident took place at around 12:30pm when a Ullahpara bound bus of Padma from Natore hit the auto-rickshaw bound for Hatikumrulgami from Sirajganj killing the victims on the spot, Highway police said.

Later police seized the bus and auto rickshaw.

The driver and helper of the bus managed to flee.
