3 members of a family among 4 killed in Sirajganj road crash

SIRAJGANJ: Four people, three of them members of a family, were killed as a bus rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Choria under Salonga thana on Sunday noon.

The deceased are auto-rickshaw passengers Md Sobhan Ali, 65, his son-in-law Monir Hossain, 35, and granddaughter Amena Khatun, 27, hailed from Singra upazila of Natore district, and driver Ashraf, 32, of Choria village in Sirajganj.

Police said the three-wheeler got twisted as an Ullapara-bound bus from Natore crashed into it at around 12:30 pm, killing the four instantly.

Hatikumrul Highway thana police recovered and sent the bodies to hospital morgue.

Police seized the accident-ridden vehicles, but the bus driver managed to flee.
