Mannan BhuiyanÔÇÖs condition remains unchanged

DHAKA: Health condition of former BNP Secretary General Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan, lying on life support at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Square Hospital, remained unchanged on Monday.

ICU Chief of the hospital Dr Mirza Nazim Uddin told banglanews24.com.bd, “Bhuiyan’s condition did neither improve nor deteriorate. He is, now, on a close observation. His latest condition could be known after 24 hours.”
Earlier on Sunday, Dr Nazim informed the journalists that Mannan Bhuiyan was better than he was on Friday and Saturday. On that day, he was provided with 70 percent oxygen from 95 percent.
“We can pronounce him out of danger if the level of oxygen inhalation comes down to 50-60 percent,” the physician said.

Mannan was admitted to the Square Hospital due to lung cancer on Wednesday last. Since then he is on life-support system for his inability to breathe normally at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
Earlier, he was brought back to the country from Singapore where he went on May 31 for treatment.
