BANDARBAN: Police recovered the body of a minor boy from the Sangu River in Sadar upazila early Friday.

The deceased was identified as Tanmoy Biswas Hridoy, 7, son of Chandan Biswas of Kachukhai village in Patiya upazila of Chittagong district.

Family sources said Hridoy came to visit one of his relatives house here from Chittagong with his father and went missing on Thursday.

Sadar Thana OC Jahangir Alam said local people found the body floating in the river at about 8am and informed the police.

A UD case was filed with Sadar thana.
