BSF men abduct 5 Bangladeshi children from Thakurgaon border

THAKURGAON: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel allegedly picked up five Bangladeshi children from the River Nagar on Minapur border in Haripur upazila on Friday morning.

Haripur Company Commander of BDR Atiar Rahman told banglanews24.com.bd, “BSF members of Shangaon camp chased five children in the morning while fishing in the river near 354 No pillar and took them into Indian territories.”

They are Montu, 8, Salahuddin, 14, Kalam, Bihari, 11, and Pania, 15.

Rahman also said BDR sent a letter to their Indian counterpart telling them to return the children “immediately”.
