Case against 44 for Narayanganj labor unrest

NARAYANGANJ: Police here filed a case on Monday against 44 people on charge of vandalism and create labour unrest.

 

Fatulla Thana sub-inspector Shahidul Islam filed the case for vandalism, attack and obstructing police duties.

 

Police and RAB so far arrested a total of 10 people in this connection.

 

Meanwhile, Palmal Group workers here tried to aggravate the situation at the Fatulla Wood Mill area Monday which was later tamed, witnesses said.

 

The situation was stated to be stable following additional police deployment, police said.

 

Fatulla thana officer-in-charge Jibon Kanti Sarkar said that the outsiders instigated the garment workers to create chaos.

 

“Our drive goes on,” he said.
