ASHUGANJ: Workers and employees of Ashuganj Power Station on Monday called a four-day agitation programme to press home their demand for implementing the government-announced new pay scale.

Ashuganj Power Station Workers and Employees Union announced the programme at a press conference here in the morning.

The porgrammes include human chain on August 10, demonstration inside the station on 11 and 12 and work abstention on August 19.

The leaders said the authority did not implement the news pay scale yet despite the announcement by the government.

They also threatened to call a tougher programme if their demand is not fulfilled immediately.
