Rough sea: Maritime ports keep showing signal No 3

CHITTAGONG: Offloading imports from ships at the outer-anchorage of Chittagong seaport still remained suspended since Friday as the Bay of Bengal remained rough amid inclement weather.

Meanwhile, maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox`s Bazar and Mongla have been advised to go on hoisting local cautionary signal No 3, said a Met Office special bulletin issued Saturday.

All fishing boats and trawlers over the north Bay have been advised to “come closer to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice”.
