DHAKA: Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad on Saturday said the democracy of the country is suffering.

“There is no democracy in the country. It is suffering,” he said.  

The former president of the country came up with the observation while addressing a general meeting of Jatiya Jubo Sanghati at Diploma Engineers’ Institute in the city.

Regarding BNP, Ershad said, “BNP is no more in politics. They are neither in parliament nor on street. They do not have the capability to change government.”
