DHAKA: Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Saturday said the existing good relation between the ruling Awami League and India will remain alike in future.

Tofail, also an AL advisory council member, came up with the comment while addressing a discussion on the occasion of Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina’s Homecoming Day at Dhanmaondi 32 in the city.

The senior AL leader said, “India is a big democratic country, its foreign policy is not changed though its government is changed. The good relation between AL and India will exist in future.”

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, Swechchhasebak League general secretary Pankaj Debnath, among others, spoke at the function.
