DHAKA: BNP Standing Committee Member Barrister Moudud Ahmed promised to shun politics of violence and hartal if his party is permitted for staging rally-procession.

He also urged to withdraw the cases against BNP leaders and activists so that the two leading parties can sit together for the betterment of country.

He came up with the assertion in a seminar titled “Political parties and democracy in Bangladesh” at BRAC Center Inn on Saturday.

Moudud further said that the political leadership is the main problem in politics of our country. He also said that there is no democracy in the country which may cause emptiness, anarchy, Fundamentalism and dilemma in the society.

He also said that the incidents like seven murder case of Narayanganj can be repeated if the country people won’t meet with democracy.

He also mentioned the major ideological differences between ruling Awami League and BNP. He again said that both the parties are facing a crisis of having complete and perfect politicians. He further criticized the viciousness and falsehood of politics.

The top level political leaders of both the parties and political teachers, experts and others also spoke there.
