DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is likely to join the grand rally of lawyers to be held in the city on May 24 (Saturday).

The rally, protesting the kidnappings and killings across the country, interferences on judiciary and killing of Narayanganj Bar Lawyer Advocate Chandan Kumar, will be held at Supreme Court Lawyers Association office premises.

Supreme Court Lawyers Association president Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon in a press conference came up with the disclosure on Monday.

With BNP standing committee member Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia in the chair, the rally will be arranged by the Nationalist Lawyers’ Forum. 

BNP Chairperson’s advisor Advocate Zainul Abedin, BNP Leader Advocate Sanullah Mia and Barrister Badruddoza Badal were among others present at the press conference.
