GAZIPUR: Bangladesh Chatra League (BCL) district unit called daylong hartal in Kapasia upazila for Thursday demanding immediate release of Anisur Rahman Arif, former president of district unit BCL.
BCL district convener Delwar Hossain Shawn confirmed the matter to banglanews.
On Sunday (May 18), a Gazipur court sent 10 people, including Arif, to jail rejecting their bail plea after police produced them before the court.
Following infighting between the supporters of Simin Hossain Rimi and Arif that left 20 people injured, law enforcers arrested them.
On Monday, BCL district unit also observed hartal demanding his release.
