MUNSHIGANJ: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is going to visit Munshiganj on May 28, where she is expected to address a rally.

Party sources said to banglanews that earlier the rally was scheduled to be held on May 24.

BNP district unit sought official permission to hold the rally on May 24 in Hatlakkhiganj area but before giving permission, the local administration on Thursday changed the date and venue both, of the rally, sources added.

Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner Saiful Hasan Badal said that the rally is rescheduled for security concerns. “We asked them to hold the rally in Muktarpara area, on the suburb of the district town.”

BNP district committee president Abdul Hye, also former deputy minister, told banglanews that they wanted to hold the program at downtown but the administration asked them to shift the rally venue to outside the town.
