FENI: In a latest development in Fulgazi upazila chairman Ekramul killing case, law enforcing agencies on Tuesday arrested two accused including a local Awami League leader from separate places of the district.

Of the arrestees, Abdur Rab, general secretary of Kazirbag union AL unit of Sadar upazila, who was arrested from a tea shop at Sonapur village under Sadar upazila on Tuesday noon while Sazib was nabbed in Birinchi area of the district town at 2:00am on Tuesday.

Police recovered a foreign made pistol, 2 magazines and five rounds of bullets from Sazib’s possession.

With the arrest of this two, some 16 people were taken under police custody in this killing case.

In a cinematic style, miscreants shot Ekramul, the upazila Awami League president, and burnt to death at his own car in front of Bilashi Cinema in Academy area of the district town on May 20.
