DHAKA: Awami League led 14-party alliance Tuesday announced to hold rallies in four divisions throughout June to create mass awareness against propaganda of BNP-led alliance.

The agenda is also aimed reuniting alliance men at the grass root levels in Chittagong, Rajshahi, Rangpur and Sylhet divisions. 

Alliance spokesperson, also AL presidium member, Mohammed Nasim made the announcement at a press conference after a meeting of the alliance at AL president’s Dhanmondi office in the city.

Before briefing, the alliance held a closed door meeting for two hours there with alliance’s ally Workers’ Party (WP) president, also Civil Aviation and Tourism minister Rashed Khan Menon in the chair.

WP former general secretary (GS) Anisur Rahman Mallik, WP newly elected GS Fazle Hossen Badsha,  Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) president Nazmul Haque Pradhan, Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal GS Dilip Barua, Jatiya Party Secretary General Sheikh Shahidul Islam, and Tarikat Federation secretary general Lion M Awal, among others, attended the meeting.
