BCB Director Alamgir Khan passes away

Sports organiser and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Director Alamgir Khan passed away at a hospital in Dhaka on Wednesday morning.

The cricket board confirmed the news of the demise in a press release.

Also known as ‘Alo Bhai’, the sports organiser had been ill for a long time.

Alamgir was elected the BCB director for multiple terms.

His namaz-e-janaza will be held at Baridhara DOHS Mosque in the capital at 3pm. He will be buried in Barisal.

On Tuesday, veteran cricket coach Md Zafrul Ehsan breathed his last at the age of 60, ending his nearly one-and-a-half years' battle with blood cancer.
