A three-day international ceramic exposition will kick off in Dhaka on November 24.

In the exposition, a total of 90 exhibitors and 200 brands from over 15 countries, including host Bangladesh, are expected to take part.  
 
Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BCMEA) is organizing the fair titled “Ceramic Expo Bangladesh-2022” from 24 to 26 November at the International Convention City Bashundhara, ICCB here for the third time in the country since 2017.
 
The objective of the fair is to give a worldwide exposure to the country’s ceramic manufacturers and exporters in order to enable them to seize a larger share of the global market with their international standard products.

During the fair, he said, manufacturers, exporters and suppliers will gain global exposure for their new products, modern technologies and reflect the latest designs, creating a new image as well as adding great value to their brand all over the world from a single platform with the provision of making spot orders.    
   
The fair will remain open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm every day.
 
This was revealed today at a press conference addressed by BCMEA president Md. Sirajul Islam Mollah and General Secretary Irfan Uddin at Dhaka Reporters' Unity here.

Mollah said: “Ceramic industry of Bangladesh is a booming sector and its growth potential in both domestic and international markets indicate it may become one of the biggest foreign exchange earners for the country.”
 
Commerce minister Tipu Munshi will inaugurate the fair at ICCB while Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment advisor Salman F. Rahman will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony at the Radisson Blu Hotel in the capital.
 
The BCMEA president said the exhibition will be spread out over a 15,000 sqm fairground at ICCB and is expected to be visited by over 300 delegates from different countries making it one of the largest ceramic exhibitions in all of South Asia.

On the sideline of the fair, five seminars on relevant and crucial issues of the ceramic industry in Bangladesh, B2B and B2C meetings and job fair will be held.
 
Mollah said Bangladesh’s ceramic industry has experienced 200 percent growth and a 20 percent increase in investment in the last 10 years.
 
The industry now has more than 70 manufacturers and investment in this sector is now about 1.7 Billion USD while Bangladesh made ceramic products are being exported to more than 50 countries including the USA, the UK, Germany, Italy, Turkey, UAE, Thailand, China and India.
