Mohammad Rafayet Ullah Mirda and Abul Kashem have been elected as the new president and general secretary of the Economic Reporters' Forum (ERF) respectively.

Rafayet Mirda got 91 votes while his close competitor Sajjadur Rahman earned 51 votes.

Besides, Salahuddin Bablu was elected as the vice president of the ERF, a platform of journalists who cover economic issues in the country.

ERF Election Commission announced the result of the election for 2023-24 session of the organization held on Friday (Dec 23).

Other elected office bearers are Md. Mizanur Rahman as assistant general secretary, Rahim Sheikh as finance secretary, and Mohammad Farhad Hossain Talukder, Badiul Alam, Mohammed Syful Islam, and Shah Alam Nur as executive members.
