Clearing and Forwarding Agents (C&F) officials and employees have started a two-day strike to press home their eight-point demand today (Jan 30).

Export and import activities at all customs houses and customs stations have been suspended to press their demands which include HS Code and CPC, amendment of custom agent licensing rules.

Kazi Imam Hossain Bilu, general secretary of Chittagong C&F Agents Association, confirmed the matter to Banglanews. 

C&F agents have been observing the strike at 27 customs stations across the country, he said, adding unloading of goods from ships at the port and internal operations are underway.
