DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE X, rose over 14 points to stand at 4,256 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 123,142 with transaction at Tk 4,989 million. Of the issues traded, 184 advanced, 76 declined and 25 remained unchanged.

GENNEXT topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 298 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were MPETROLEUM, RNSPIN, SPPCL, GP, ALARABANK, BDBUILDING, DHAKABANK, UCBL and UNITEDAIR.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,321by gaining over 46 points.

Out of the issues traded, 126 gained, 43 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
