DHAKA: Armed Police Battalion (APBn) personnel held two people with huge banned cigarettes and four gold bars weighing 435 gram from Hazarat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday morning.

The detainees are- Jahir Uddin, 45 and Ali Sheikh, 40.

Sources said that the detainees arrived at the airport by Regent Airways (Flight no.RX-782) from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, APBn personnel searched the suspects while they were crossing green channel at the airport and seized 336 carton cigarettes and 435 gram gold from their possession.

APBn Senior Assistant Police Super Alamgir Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
