DHAKA: Contractual dairy farmers of PRAN Dairy received agro loan for setting up and develop dairy farm in the country.

Major General (retd) Amjad Khan Chowdhury, CEO of the PRAN-RFL Group, handed over the loan amount to the dairy farmers at Chatmohor PRAN Dairy hub in Pabna recently.

IFIC Bank, a private commercial bank of the country, financed the loan amount disbursed to the dairy farmers.

Anisur Rahman, Chief Operating Officer of PRAN Dairy, informed agricultural loan has been disbursed among PRAN contractual dairy farmers to buy cows, prepare shade, cattle feed and farm related others development activities.

Some 15 contractual farmers of PRAN dairy get two lacs taka each while other farmers will also get loan if required, he added.

He also told, more than 9 thousand registered dairy farmers are working with 2 PRAN dairy hubs at Gurudashpur Natore and Chatmohor Pabna who bring up 16 thousand cattle.

PRAN Dairy provides varies facilities to the dairy farmers. i.e vaccination, treatment, training on farm set-up & development, artificial insemination and others.

PRAN Dairy has 102 milk collection and chilling center in 15 districts of the country from where 1.5 lac litter liquid milk has been collected on daily basis.

There are 45 milk collection and chilling center under two PRAN Dairy Hub situated at Chatmohor and Gurudashpur. PRAN Dairy Hub is a concept from where all kind of supports provided to contractual dairy farmers.

Sri Krishno Kumar Haldar, Chatmohor Thana Livestock Officer, M Asaduzzaman, officer in charge of Chatmohor Thana, M Mizanur Rahman, Pabna Branch Manager of IFIC Bank, Jeoff Waker, Chief of Party Land O Lake, Morgan Teenberg, Trainer and Consultant of PRAN Dairy, Contractual farmers of  PRAN Dairy and local prominent persons were present on the occasion.
