Stocks witness fall Sunday

DHAKA:  Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 45points only to stand at 4,713 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 84912 with volume of transactions at Tk 3,902 million.

Of the issues traded, 83 advanced, 166 declined and 38 remained unchanged.

DELTALIFE topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 263 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SQURPHARMA, BSCCL, MPETROLEUM, OLYMPIC, JAMUNAOIL, SOUTHEASTB, PADMAOIL, BDBUILDING and GP.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9279 by dropping over 92 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 49 gained, 145 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
