BBF organizes leadership summit 2014

DHAKA: Bangladesh Brand Forum (BBF) is set to organize 3rd Leadership Summit 2014 at the Raddison Blu Water Garden on the March 22.

The summit will take place under the theme ‘In Search of Transformation’ seeking the next phase of industrial growth in the country and aims to inspire leadership in the Bangladeshi corporate sector.

The program includes six sessions on leadership, panel discussion on growth, launching of Bangladesh Now platform etc.

The first session titled ‘Leadership Mindset and its Impact on Business Decisions’ will be conducted by Beth MacDonald, Global Executive Coach & Learning Facilitator of Human Capital Development based in the Philippines.

Sir Fazle Hasan Abed will lead his session under the banner ‘In Conversation with Sir Abed’.

His session will look at the key leadership component which supported Sir Abed to survive through a very unfriendly, challenging environment and create world’s largest and one of the most successful NGOs.

Vivek Sood, CEO of the largest telecom network of Bangladesh, Grameenphone Ltd will preside over a session based on his 22 years of experience including engagement with companies like Tata AIG Life Insurance, Hutchison Telecom, Tupperware India and Hindustan Lever Limited (Unilever).

Ata Safdar, the Managing Director of Reckitt Benckiser, Thailand, the Philippines and Indo-China will look at some of the key components that are critical for developing inspirational leadership in Bangladesh.

His session titled ‘Developing Corporate Leadership in Bangladesh Context’ will explore a number of issues of leadership including roadblocks to developing leadership, leadership success measurement criteria and approaches to building organization capacity and capabilities.

Major General Richard M Burr, Deputy Commanding General, US Army Asia Pacific will inspire a different perspective in the art of leadership with his years of engagement in the Australian Army.

The last session will be conducted by Priya Parker, the founder of Thrive Labs. Drawing on ten years of work in government, social enterprise and Track II diplomacy in the United States, India and the Middle East, Priya designs visioning and innovation labs that help organizations grow from the root.
