SYLHET: Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith categorically said the volume of the next budget for coming fiscal year 2014-15 may decrease for adjusting deficit of revenue collection.

He came up with the disclosure to the journalists while he was visiting the renovation work of Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar on Saturday noon.

Actually, the size of the next budget depends on the earnings target of the National Board of Revenue. The government and the tax administrator are usually set the revenue target at the start of the budget preparation.

The mayor of Sylhet City Corporation Ariful Haque Chowdhury, former city mayor, also president of Metropolitan Awami League Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran, Upazila Chairman of Sylhet Sadar and president of district AL Ashfak Ahmed were also present there.
