DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 32 points to stand at 4,648 at the close on the second trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 99,753 with transaction at Tk 4,611 million. Of the issues traded, 168 advanced, 103 declined and 19 remained unchanged.

MPETROLEUM topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 305 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, HEIDELBCEM, SQURPHARMA, PADMAOIL, FAMILYTEX, ABBANK, OLYMPIC, UCBL and GP.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8941 by gaining over 61 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 107 gained, 99 declined and 17 remained unchanged.
