DHAKA: Eminent banker Golam Hafiz Ahmed has been appointed as the Managing Director & CEO of NCC Bank Limited, private commercial bank.

Prior to this appointment, he was the Additional Managing Director and Acting Managing Director & CEO of the same Bank.   

He obtained his Masters and BSS (Hons) in Economics from the Department of Economics of Dhaka University. He started his banking career as a Senior Officer with Pubali Bank Ltd. in 1983 through Banker’s Recruitment Committee (BRC), Bangladesh Bank. 

Ahmed has more than 31 years of Banking experience with NCC Bank Ltd. and other predecessor banks including Banque Indosuez & Dhaka Bank Ltd. 

He joined with NCC Bank in 2008 as Deputy Managing Director & became Additional Managing Director in 2010. 

Apart from client relationship management and business line responsibilities in his long banking service, he had also excelled in international & branch banking during his early and mid career. He had participated in a good number of seminars, symposiums and management trainings at home and abroad.
