DHAKA: Investors witnessed slight gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over five points to stand at 4,409 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 83632 with transaction at Tk 3,027 million. Of the issues traded, 152 advanced, 104 declined and 38 remained unchanged.

BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 240 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, GP, UNITEDAIR, SQURPHARMA, BSC, BSCCL, BXPHARMA, DELTALIFE and GENNEXT.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,401 by gaining over zero point.

Out of the issues traded, 86 gained, 101 declined and 28 remained unchanged
