DHAKA: Investors witnessed slight gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 2 points to stand at 4,392 at the close on the fifth and last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 64,839 with transaction at Tk 2,532 million.

Of the issues traded, 175 advanced, 87 declined and 37 remained unchanged.

BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 235 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BEXIMCO, SPCL, GP, PENINSULA, MJLBD, FARCHEM, SQURPHARMA, ENVOYTEX, BSRMSTEEL and OLYMPIC. 

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8333 by zero point. 

Out of the issues traded, 101 gained, 76 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
