DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 24 points to stand at 4399 at the close on the second trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 41618 with transaction at Tk 1,716 million. Of the issues traded, 156 advanced, 69 declined and 50 remained unchanged.

BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 426 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SPCL, SQURPHARMA, OLYMPIC, BSC, GP, PENINSULA, ENVOYTEX, PADMAOIL and FARCHEM.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8345 by gaining over 53 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 99 gained, 68 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
