DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank warned that it will not tolerate any irregularities of the financial institutions in the country.

The warning came out in a meeting with Chief Executive Officers (CEO) of financial institutions on Tuesday.

The meeting, chaired by Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman, was held at Bangladesh Bank conference hall in city.

Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor SK Sur Chowdhury said that the central bank will show zero tolerance on any sort of irregularities.

Besides, the terms and conditions for setting up new branches of financial institutions will be relaxed, he added.
