DHAKA: Investors witnessed slight gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The DSE broad index rose over 27 points to stand at 4,554 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 1,24,981 with transaction at Tk 6,323 million.
   
 Of the issues traded, 178 advanced, 82 declined and 38 remained unchanged.

GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 402 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were MJLBD, LAFSURCEML, SQURPHARMA, APOLOISPAT, MATINSPINN, BEXIMCO, MAKSONSPIN, FAMILYTEX and BSC.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8596 by gaining over 32 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 113 gained, 66 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
