DHAKA: Severe irregularities and perversions seen in various public and private banks, even the guidelines and directives of Bangladesh Bank (BB) are violated there. 

After finding the inspection results, in a meeting recently BB Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman expressed to take harder position against those irregularities.

Sources said that according to the information of visitors, the meeting discussed about Bank’s irregularities, corruption and perversion.

Meanwhile, the governor gave directions to transfer the Managing Director Golam Mostafa as he failed to show causes of the irregularities.

Confirming the matter Bangladesh Bank spokes man AFM Asaduzzaman told banglanews Bangladesh Bank Governor gave directions to give highest priority on bank inspection.

Deputy Governor SK Sur Chowdhury, Executive Director Dr Mahfujur Rahman, Assistant Director and Managing Directors were attended in the meeting.
