DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 28 points to stand at 4549 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 116540 with transaction at Tk 4940 million. Of the issues traded, 99 advanced, 172 declined and 26 remained unchanged.

BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 403 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BXPHARMA, MJLBD, GOLDENSON, BDBUILDING, GP, BSRMSTEEL, LAFSURCEML, FARCHEM and APOLOISPAT.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8658 by dropping over 22 points.

Out of the issues traded, 72 gained, 121 declined and 34 remained unchanged.
