DHAKA:  Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country`s bourses on Sunday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 44 points only to stand at 3,968 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 98,876 with volume of transactions at Tk 3,321 million.

Of the issues traded, 81 advanced, 195 declined and 15 remained unchanged.

BSCCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 258 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were CMCKAMAL, ARGONDENIM, JMISMDL CONTININS, GENNEXT, UNITEDAIR, RAHIMAFOOD, TALLUSPIN and 1STPRIMFMF.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 7,730 by dropping over 110 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 52 gained, 152 declined and 10 remained unchanged.
