DHAKA: Syed Manzur Elahi, leading businessperson in Bangladesh, and his wife Niloufer Manzur have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).

Their son Syed Nasim Manzur confirmed the news.

He said that his father is being treated at home while his mother is undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

Manzur Elahi, 78, is Chairman of conglomerate Apex Group and a former adviser to two caretaker governments.

Niloufer Manzur, the founder and principal of Sunbeams School, was diagnosed with the coronavirus on third test, Syed Nasim Manzur added.
