Banks will remain closed on next Sunday (Aug 1) and Wednesday (Aug 4) as per the latest instruction of Bangladesh Bank.

Besides, the transaction period has been extended by an hour on August 2, 3 and 5 in next week.

The central bank’s department of offsite supervision issued a circular in this regard Wednesday (July 28) considering the country's covid situation.

As per circular, transactions will be allowed at the banks from 10 am to 2:30 pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday next.

Currently, banks are operating from 10am to 1:30pm.

Other bank activities will be operated according to the central bank circular issued on 13 July, said Bangladesh Bank.
