Renowned banker Kazi Md Mofizul Islam has been promoted to the post of General Manager of the Sonali Bank Limited, a leading state-owned public commercial bank in the country.

The development has taken place recently evaluating outstanding performance of Kazi Md Mofizul Islam.

Earlier, he was Deputy General Manager of Industrial Project Financing Division at the head office of the Sonali Bank.

Kazi Md Mofizul Islam obtained Honours and Masters in Finance from Dhaka University. He joined as a senior officer-financial analyst of the bank in 1995.  He attended many professional trainings and programmes at home and abroad during his long banking career.
