Jewellery Expo Raffle Draw: Abdul Kuddus gets Tk10 lakh, Tarun Tk5 lakh

 

The winners of raffle draw in Bangladesh Jewellery Expo 2022 have never thought of getting the prizes as many of them visited the stalls but did not buy any product.    

Bangladesh Jewellery Expo at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital ended in an attractive raffle draw, fashion show and musical event Saturday night.

There were 12 prizes worth Tk 25 lakh for the visitors who made it to the fair compound and dropped duly filled coupons into the stipulated boxes.

Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) oranised the three-day expo marking birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and highlighting magnificence of the local ornaments and skills of the goldsmiths internationally.

BAJUS President and Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir was the chief guest at the grand closing ceremony at the expo venue.

First prize winner has been identified as Abdul Kuddus bearing coupon no 03792. Hailing from Mirpur-10 in the capital, he visited the expo on the concluding day and participated in the draw. He has got Tk 10 lakh as the first prize.

Second prize winner is Tarun Poddar who visited the first ever Bangladesh Jewellery Expo hailing from India. He has got Tk 5 lakh as the second prize.

Besides, 10 lucky persons, who visited the expo stalls anytime during the fair and participated in the draw, have bagged Tk 1 lakh each as the third prizes.

The third prize winners are Afzal (coupon no 00925), Chanchal  (coupon no 02071),  Halim Sikder ((coupon no 03507), Anisur (coupon no 04287), Jannat (coupon no 01107), Tahmid (coupon no 04784), Shafikur (coupon no 03099), Dipu (coupon no 04043), Tania (coupon no 00478) and Toukir (coupon no 03551).

The information on winners along with coupon numbers will be available in the BAJUS website. The recipients will have to contact the authorities concerned within 72 hours.

In an instant reaction over phone, first prize winner Abdul Kuddus said he visited the expo but did not buy any product. Expressing happiness at the prize, he said “My parents are alive. So, I will share the prize money with them.”

Second prize winner Tarun Poddar said he was excited to have won the lottery.

Applauding the expo, Tarun said he is involved in jewellery business in India and he found just-ended Bangladesh expo up to the mark.

“The first ever expo was pretty well. I hope Bangladesh jewellery expo will be better in future,” he opined.
