The government said the country's inflation rate came down to 7.48% in July.

This information was given by Planning Minister MA Mannan at a press conference at the Planning Commission on Wednesday (August 3).

He also said the food inflation came down to 8.19% from 8.37% in June.

Food inflation has reduced due to dropping in rice and oil prices, said the minister, adding Shipments of wheat are also coming from Russia.
