The price of bottled soybean oil once again increased on Tuesday and a litre of soybean oil will now cost Tk 192 in retail markets.

The price has gone up by Tk 7 per litre. 

The new prices of the price of bottled soybean oil will come to effect on Tuesday (Aug 23). 

Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners and Vanaspati Manufacturers Association issued a press release on Monday (Aug 22) in this regard.

The price hike has been decided after holding meetings with the Bangladesh Tariff Commission and the Ministry of Commerce, said the press release

Earlier on 3 August, the association had proposed to increase the price of soybean oil by Tk20 per litre.

However, the price of per litre of open soybean oil has been set as Tk175.

Besides, for 5-litre bottles, the price has been set as Tk945.

At the same time, the price of open palm oil (open) has been set as Tk145 per litre.
