The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for 2025 will begin on April 10 and continue until May 8, according to a notification issued today (December 12).

The announcement was signed by Professor Md Abul Bashar, convener of the Inter-Education Board Examination Regulatory Committee and Examination Controller of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.

The exams will be held on a full-marks and full-time basis, with the first exam scheduled for April 10, featuring the Bangla First Paper. The theoretical exams will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the scheduled dates.

Practical exams for all subjects will take place from May 10 to May 18, with all practical exams required to be completed by the latter date.

Candidates are advised to collect their admit cards from their respective school heads at least three days prior to the start of the examinations. They are also instructed to be seated in the exam hall 30 minutes before the start of the exam.

In terms of exam structure, the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) tests will be held first, followed by the Creative/Compositional (theoretical) tests, with no break between the two.

The notification also highlighted that candidates will be allowed to use ordinary scientific calculators at the exam centers. However, only the center secretary will be permitted to use a mobile phone within the exam center; no other individuals, including candidates, will be allowed to bring or use mobile phones.

The authorities have urged all candidates to strictly adhere to the schedule and guidelines to ensure a smooth examination process.
