NEW YORK: Former Public Service Commission (PSC) chairman Professor Dr Muhammad Mostafa Chowdhury breathed his last in Canada on Friday due to old age complexity.

He was 74.

Mostafa Chowdhury was also chairman of the Department of Political Science of Dhaka University.

Family sources said the body of Mostafa Chowdhury will be brought at Guthoma village in Feni, where he was born in 1940.

Professor Muhammad Mostafa Chowdhury taught at Dhaka University from 1966 to 2006.
