Bangladesh Railway has started selling advance train tickets today (March 24), ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.

All tickets are being sold through Bangladesh Railway's website (https://eticket.railway.gov.bd) and mobile app from 8am.

Tickets for April 3 are being sold today while tickets of April 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 will be sold on March 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 respectively.

Earlier, Sardar Shahadat Ali, acting director general of the BR, revealed the information at a press conference at Rail Bhaban in the capital on Wednesday.

All tickets will be available online. The sale of tickets for trains bound for the western zone will start at 8am while sale of tickets for east-bound trains will begin from 2pm.

According to him, in the previous Eids, 5-day tickets were sold, but this time, the railways will sell 7-day advance tickets for the first time. 100% of tickets will be sold online to buy train tickets without hassle.

The sale of return train tickets for April 13 will start from April 3.
