Quota Protest: Youth killed in front of Dhaka College

A youth was killed in a clash between Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists and students protesting for quota reform in government jobs in front of Dhaka College in the capital on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Faruk, 25. He was driving a motorbike at the time.

Confirming the incident, Inspector Bachchu Mia, in charge of the DMCH police camp, said, "A young man was brought to Dhaka Medical in a critical condition, and the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

He had sharp weapon injuries below his ear and on various parts of his face, the inspector added.
