The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 27 people during different anti-drug operations conducted across different areas of the capital in the last 24 hours till 6 am on Sunday (January 5).

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman of the DMP's Media and Public Relations Division confirmed the matter.

They seized 78 kilograms and 826 grams of hemps, 845 pieces of yaba tablets, and 45 bottles of phensedyl.

According to statement, 15 cases have been filed against the detainees in connection with the recovery of these drugs.
